ATP TAKEAWAY: Your organization could be enjoying rewards and recognition through Arlington Transportation Partner's free program, Champions. There's still time to join for 2014!

Pinky Advani with Champions at CarpoolLast night, representatives from Arlington businesses, residential communities, and commercial properties attended our #NetworkwithChampions happy hour event at Carpool in Ballston. This was our 2nd networking event as part of Champions– there were appetizers, bar games (the ATP team loves some shuffleboard) and door prizes for attendees.

We were excited to see a great mix of people at the event, with current Champions as well as those interested in participating. Recent Bicycle Friendly Business awardee, Jacobs, stopped by, in addition to representatives from the National Science Foundation, Dittmar, the Crystal City BID and one of our newest Champions, Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO). We also look forward to working more with potential Champions who attended, including Vornado, Waterview Residences and Morton’s Steakhouse in Crystal City.

Brendan Casey with Champions at Carpool Our next Champions event will be our awards banquet at the end of January, which will recognize all of our Champions for 2014 and the great work they have done to promote transportation options to employees, residents and tenants. The banquet will be followed by the County Board meeting in March, where Champions will be recognized for their partnership with Arlington County.

Alli Henry and Carolyn from Waterview at Carpool Remember, there is still time to become a Champion in 2014 and earn recognition! Whether you are an employer, residential community or commercial property, participation in Champions can have a positive impact on your organization and it’s completely free! If you’re already enrolled in Champions, there’s still time to implement additional programs and move up a level – the higher the level, the more rewards and recognition!

Thank you again to all who attended our event last night and we look forward to growing our relationships with businesses and properties in Arlington County! For even more fun photos, check out our live tweeting from last night, #NetworkWithChampions.
