Stay Visible On Your Commute!
While Fall is my favorite season of the year, it gets a little depressing when the days get shorter and it’s dark when I wake up or in the evenings during dinner. It can also be a safety hazard for commuters, especially for cyclists and those who walk to work. Remember, it’s important to make yourself as visible as possible to other road users, particularly during the darker morning and evening rush hours. Bike lights, including flashing ones should be placed on the front and rear of your bike, as well as your helmet if possible. Wear bright clothing with reflective material on it, such as vests, jackets, bike pants, and ankle straps. If you wear a backpack or messenger bag, make sure those are reflective as well. An affordable option is reflective tape, which can be adhered to a variety of surfaces, including your bike, bags, or clothes. More is always better when it comes to visibility!
