Established in 1986, ACCS has a mission to enhance the quality of life and economic vitality of the county by working to reduce traffic congestion, reduce the demand for parking, provide for the maximum use of the existing public transportation and HOV infrastructure, improve air quality, and improve mobility by encouraging people who live, work, and play in Arlington to use mass transit, carpools and vanpools, bicycling, walking, telework, carsharing, bikesharing, and other alternatives to driving alone.
