Visitor Services

Photo: hotel room and suitcaseOf the over 1.2 million visitors traveling to Arlington County each year, 41% of those visitors take Metro or some form of transit (Randall Travel Marketing Travel Research Survey 2007).

Realizing the need to work with hotels to distribute transit information so that everyone who lives, works, or plays in Arlington is knowledgeable of their transportation options, Arlington Transportation Partners started a Visitor Services division. We want to ensure that those who visit Arlington County know all of their commuting options and are comfortable using them while not impeding the quality of life that Arlington employees and residents have come to enjoy. Visitors Services has the following two components: 1) the actual visitors and 2) the employees of the hotel. Both are equally important and expanding our services for both groups benefits everyone involved.

Hotels benefit from our services by giving their guests the tools they need to successfully navigate local areas as well as happy and loyal employees. Guests benefit from not wandering around aimlessly or spending time in traffic, and employees benefit by knowing their employer cares about their daily commute and takes measures to help with it.

We work with all Arlington hotels to make sure you have the transportation information you will need to help guests, including educating staff about all of the local transportation options, transportation brochures, and much more! We also have employee services that include the implementation of transit benefits, commuting information to make their daily commutes easier, and ongoing support in both areas to ensure all are knowledgeable about local commuting options.
